Education for Music Teams

Education - delivered by Judges

In addition to running the separate all-categories Foundation Course which is primarily online, E&J also provide category based education on a rolling basis, focusing each year on one category in detail, in person.

As well as increasing your knowledge of how to do well in contest, the education provided will also help you to become a better performer in general and increase your understanding of how to improve as a musician, singer and performer.

While attendees must understand that the content of these category-based education days is designed and targeted at chorus' Music Teams and quartets, ALL LABBS AND BABS members are welcome to attend these events, not only Directors, music teams and quartets, but also the general membership and non-LABBS members wanting to learn more about these subjects.

Quartet Coaching with a Singing Judge

Full quartets in attendance can elect to have a 50-minute coaching session with a Singing Judge, to help you bring out the best in your singing! If there is demand by more than 6 quartets, you may be joined by another fab quartet for this session.

There are a maximum of 12 quartet places if doubled up, so if you are interested in this option, make sure your entire quartet registers for the event ASAP (as individuals) and that each quartet member selects this option on the form. You will be timetabled a slot, and each person will miss the elective they chose for that particular session.
